Miriam D´Amico is Academic
Consultant with Richmond Publishing. She has a vast experience in
teaching English as a second and foreign language. As a teacher trainer
she has given talks, presentations and workshops in different provinces.
At present she studies for a Master in Education at Universidad Nacional
de San Martín and a degree as NLP Practitioner. She is a member of

Salvador
Patricia Salvador is a graduate
teacher from Instituto de Enseñanza Superior en Lenguas Vivas "Juan R.
Fernandez", and has a post-graduate specialization in methodology from
Universidad Tecnologica Nacional.
She is the head of New England School of English, a private institute of
English in Buenos Aires. She was also the editor of English Teaching
in Action and Top English, magazines for teachers of English.
At present she is an ELT Specialist for Thomson Learning Southern Cone,
where she is actively engaged in giving presentations and workshops.

presentation will discuss how NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) can
help our students minimize the side effects of those negative factors

Trained at the Instituto Superior
del Profesorado "Joaquín V. Gonzalez' and Universidad Argentina
de la Empresa.. He is an experienced teacher of English and examiner
for different institutions and currently the Head of Liceo Cultural
Británico, Moreno. A Certified NLP Master Practitioner and an Educational
Marketing specialist, he has also undertaken consultancy work for
many educational institutions and companies. He is a representative
for the JET/SET exams of the Assessment and Qualification Alliance
(A.Q.A.), UK for Chile, Argentina and Uruguay.

Gabriel Mohr is a graduate from Instituto Superior del Profesorado “Dr.
Joaquin V. González” and has over 14 years’ experience teaching EFL. He
has taught general English to adolescents and adults at prestigious
language schools; and in-company Business English courses in Buenos
Aires. Gabriel has been lecturing on EFL methodology all over Argentina
and abroad for the last five years. He is a City & Guilds Pitman
qualifications international examiner and an Academic Coordinator with
Macmillan.

Presenter: Prof. Mabel Manzano
Mabel Manzano graduated as a teacher
of English Language and Literature from Facultad de Filosofía y
Letras, Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, in 1993. She also carried
out post-graduate studies at Webster University, St. Louis, U.S.A.
She has taught English in both state and private institutions at
primary, secondary and universtity level and has worked as an Educational
Consultant for OUP since 1998 in Cuyo, Neuquén, Río Negro and Córdoba.

What sudents know vs what they can do
with what they know
Students learn english for several years; however, in many cases they
cannot communicate in the foreign language. they haven’t developed their
competences. according to the European Framework of Reference for
Learning Languages (CEF), it is not important what they know but what
they can do with what they know.
In this presentation, the role of motivation and personalization in
language teaching and learning will be discussed, as well as how these
two factors can create competent users of english

Alfredo Bilopolsky is Teacher of
English and Technical English from Instituto Nacional Superior del
Profesorado Técnico de la Universidad Tecnológica Nacional.. English
Coordinator at Escuela De Hilel . He has delivered workshops on Teaching
Young and Very Young Learners in different conferences in Argentina. He
has taught General English to young children, teenagers and adults at
prestigious ELS´s in the city of Buenos Aires. He is an Assistant
Lecturer in Didactics II at Universidad Tecnológica Nacional.

, in May 2004. There he supervises the administration
of the ELI Certificate Exams in
Latin America

Europe
and
Asia
, providing test centers with curricular guidelines,
administrative support and marketing strategies. He also participates in
the development of new exams and services for test centers. He has been awarded
the Spaan Fellowship and the TESOL Leadership Mentoring Award. He is
graduated as an EFL teacher in 1983, as a medical doctor in 1992, and
holds a Master's Degree in Marketing and Business Administration (2004).
