1.- Prof. Leonor Corradi

Prof. Leonor Corradi Leonor Corradi is a lecturer in Metodología y Práctica de la Enseñanza I at Lenguas Vivas Juan Ramón Fernández and ISP Joaquín V. Gonzalez. Coordinator of the bilingual schools of the city of Buenos Aires and trainer for Escuela de Capacitación, GCBA. Candidate for the MSc in Applied Professional Studies in Education and Training, Surrey University. She has delivered courses and lectures at national and international levels. She has published research work on CLE (Certificados en Lenguas Extranjeras, GCBA) and prepared the Alex Examinations (Acreditación en Lenguas Extranjeras, Lenguas Vivas Juan Ramón Fernández). She's the co-author of Pals series, recently launched by Pearson Longman, and In Focus Teacher's Book

 

Teaching the book  vs  Teaching the Students.

Advanced Language: Folks and their Ways.

You most likely know what a couch potato, a sugar daddy  or a rolling stone are, but what about a tough cookie, a gold digger or a jinx? In this presentation we will study the names given to different people according  to their ways, i.e. those distinctive features that single them out. This  is a lighthearted, fun session for the word lover.



 

 

3.- Prof. Alfredo Bilopolsky


Alfredo Bilopolsky is  Teacher of English and Technical English from  INSPT  Universidasd Tecnológica Nacional.. Director of Studies at Escuela Integral Natan Gesang. He is a British Council Consultant in Computers & Internet Training and he has delivered workshops on this subjectin different conferences in Argentina. He has taught General English to young children, teenagers  and adults at prestigious ELS´s in the city of Buenos Aires.


The Internet and ELT : Computers don´t "byte".


The internet has opened up a whole new perspective to teachers. English has a leading role in The internet, and we, teachers of English must start to take a different view towards this new technology. The aim of this workshop
is to provide teachers with practical suggestions and tips on the use of the internet in our lessons as well as the way The Internet  can be used for teacher development.

4.- Prof. Patricia Salvador

Patricia Salvador is a graduate from Instituto Nacional Superior del Profesorado en Lenguas Vivas “Juan R. Fernández”. She specialized in Didactics at Universidad Tecnológica Nacional where she has been a full member of the ELT Pedagogy Group since 2001. She was the chief editor of "English Teaching in Action" -a magazine for teachers of English -  and of  " Top English" - a movie-based series, and co-editor of "E-Teaching on Line". At present she runs New England School of English and he is an ELT consultant for Thomson Heinle Argentina.

5.- Lucrecia Prat Gay de Teisaire

Lucrecia is  Head of English Primary at Río de la Plata School. She has been working on Brain Compatible Learning for the last five years. She is a Literature teacher for I.G.C.S.E (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) examinations and a Self-Esteem Practitioner. She has made a number of presentations and conducted workshops for teachers throughout the country. Lucrecia is also an actress with  a keen interest on Shakespeare.

6.- Lic. Susana Trabaldo

Susana graduated as a Literary and Technical Translator from the I. E. S. en Lenguas Vivas "Juan Ramón Fernández", holds a Licenciatura en Administración de la Educación Superior from Universidad de La Matanza and a Master's degree in Open and Distance Education from  UNED, Spain. She has taught all levels of English at primary and secondary schools and ESP at university and corporations. She is currently a teacher trainer at UTN and e-learning consultant.

New teaching skills for virtual environments

Teachers are now teaching in new environments that require special skills.  What are these skills?  Are they different from the pedagogic and didactic strategies we use in the face-to-face classes?  Net-Learning will present a review of these skills.

 

7.- Prof. Norberto Ruiz Diaz
Graduado del Instituto Nacional Superior del Profesorado "J. V. González"  lleva ya treinta años de profesor universitario en las materias Fonética y Lengua Inglesas en Profesorados, Traductorados e Interpretariados. Ha ejercido la docencia, llegando a la categoría de Profesor Titular en UMSA, UADE, USAL, UBA, Univ. Nac. De Mar del Plata, Joaquín V. González y Lenguas Vivas . Llegó a la categoría de profesor asociado en la Universidad Católica Argentina. Accedió a varias de estas cátedras mediante concurso de antecedentes y Oposición. El profesor residió en Inglaterra y realizó estudios de post grado en la Universidad de Búfalo, EE.UU., incluyendo investigación. Además ha actuado de jurado para proveer de profesores titulares y adjuntos en universidades nacionales.

Miriam D'Amico is Senior Educational Consultant with Oxford University Press. She has a broad experience in teaching and teacher training. She studies for a Masters degree in Education at Universidad Nacional de San Martín.

6.- Laura Szmuch

Laura is a graduate of the Instituto Superior del Profesorado Dr.Joaquín V. González and works as a teacher in her studio in  Capital Federal. Laura is  a Master Practitioner and Trainer in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).  She is the co- founder of Resourceful Teaching and has run courses and workshops for teachers on the application of NLP to education since 1998. She has an e-magazine RT News, which appears fortnightly and she writes on the
topic of NLP in teaching for different publications in Argentina and abroad.

 

Learning English and Enjoying the Process

Laura´s book "Aprendiendo inglés y disfrutando el proceso" is in Spanish, as it is mainly written  for students or people who would like to learn English, but have not made up their minds to start yet.  It is conversational in style, and it is packed with NLP techniques (though there is no jargon) to help students to get to know themselves better, take advantage of their learning styles, organise their study time and schedule more efficiently, tap into their internal resources, boost motivation and encourage reflection during the learning process. 

 

 

7.- Prof. Virginia Lombardi

Director of Studies at "Learning Centre Institute", Official Agent of Study Group, Embassy CES. Graduate from Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, Mendoza. She has taught English as a Foreign Language in different schools and institutes, she also taught Language II and Methodology II at Nuestra Señora de La Paz Teacher Training College. She has taken different courses at ITT Embassy CES, Hastings UK.

 

Teaching Young Learners

Children are energetic, enthusiastic, quick, tactile, noisy, sometimes naughty. Children are children, Children are FUN.  In this mini presentation I would like to share with you some ideas and activities I have used to cope with all the factors mentioned previously. I’ll encourage you to have fun and experiment. Play with ideas and become aware of the choices we all have, not only in what we do but also in how we do that, and the enormous difference that HOW can make.
