A Word from the Editor

Next Saturday 20th of May will mark the formal beginning of a new SHARE initiative: the SHARE Community Talks which have been conceived of as a series of academic presentations by local and international educators spanning throughout the year. The speakers will be sharing their knowledge and expertise with you and other colleagues in English and in Spanish. It goes without saying that the speakers, all of them holders of professional degrees and a vast experience in their areas of specialization, have been selected in accordance with SHARE high academic standards and many of them are or have been speakers at our SHARE Annual Convention. One important feature of these talks is they are offered by SHARE with both the academic community and the community at large in mind. The SHARE Community Talks are free of charge, but registration is required. Each time, 60 vacancies will be offered on a first come first served basis. This first time 190 teachers applied for a vacancy in the record time of two hours. We half expected it, but never imagined such a large demand. Attendees have been asked to bring winter clothes for children from 6 months to 12 years old to be donated to a home in Banfield in the province of Buenos Aires. These donations are not compulsory but we count on the generosity of our colleagues. Although the resgistration has long been closed, you can always have a look at the flyer of first series of talks at:
