THE SHARE AWARDS

The SHARE awards are granted annually to educators for distinguished performance in the field of ELT in particular,

and of education in general. The SHARE awards recipients will be educators who have made a commendable contribution

to the profession in the particular areas specified for each year

 

 

THE 2019 SHARE AWARD The award set for this year is:

INNOVATION AND ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

The recipient of this award will be an educator who has preferably created,

or otherwise introduced a new methodology in our country which has been regarded

as highly valuable by the Academic Committee.

Magíster Jeniffer Verschoor

 

Jennifer Verschoor  is a Magíster en Entornos Virtuales  graduated at Universidad Nacional de  la Patagonia Austral and a Licenciada en Dirección y Supervisión de Entidades  Educativas from Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA). She holds a degree in Literary, Technical and Legal Translation from Universidad del Museo Social Argentino. She completed an online programme called English Teaching and ICT in the Classroom validated by Trinity College London. She also holds a degree in Virtual Environments and a Specialization in Education and ICT offered by the Ministry of Education in Argentina and the International Certificate in Educational Leadership from the University of Cambridge, U.K.

 

She is the co-author of “My First Digital Journey”, an ebook published by The Round in December 2012. She specializes in online teaching, mobile learning and training via virtual learning environments.

 

Currently she is  the Head of Educational Technology at  St. George's College North, Argentina.

She has participated and presented papers in many national and international seminars, workshops and conferences. She is a teacher trainer for ESSARP, Universidad Tecnológica Nacional, Cambridge English and SimpleK12 giving teacher training courses on the integration of ICT. She has been nominated for an ELTon Award in 2013 under the category Local Innovation. She is a Microsoft Innovative Educator 2014 and Microsoft Fellow 2016.

 

THE 2018 SHARE AWARDS The awards set for this year are:

LIFE ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

This award aims at honouring a professional career that the Academic Committee has deemed

to be meritorious and praiseworthy, not necessarily one that has met with extraordinary success,

but one which deserves the profound respect of the ELT community.

MAGÍSTER LILIANA BEATRIZ LUNA

 

Liliana Beatriz Luna graduated from Instituto de Enseñanza Superior en Lenguas Vivas”Juan R. Fernández” as a teacher of English for Primary Schools in 1977 and as a Teacher of English in 1979. She also holds an MA in Education and Professional Development from the University of  East Anglia, UK.

 

She has vast experience teaching at all levels both in public and private institutions. She specialized in and taught methodology at IES en Lenguas Vivas “Juan R. Fernández”. As a very young teacher and lecturer she was involved in curriculum development and in-service teacher training for Municipalidad de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. She was a tenured teacher at Escuela Superior de Comercio “Carlos Pellegrini” for 30 years and was appointed Head of the English Department at a very early age. Liliana was a member of the team that designed the curriculum for the “Licenciatura en Inglés” offered by Universidad de San Martín, where she taught Management in English Language Teaching.

 

From 1979 until her retirement last year Liliana worked at AEXALEVI (Asociación Ex Alumnos del Lenguas Vivas) where she was a teacher first, then a coordinator and following a “Concurso de Antecedentes y Oposición” she became  Head of the  Students’ Department in 1991 and General Director in 2010. Liliana has therefore been involved in training and supervising teachers as well as organizing  professional development activities (such as the AEXALEVI Annual Convention) for the ELT community in Argentina and especially for the AEXALEVI Member Teachers all over the country.

 

She started and coordinated the AEXALEVI Ceibal team to provide remote English lessons to primary school children in Uruguay on behalf of the British Council. She is also interested in e-learning and teaching and has designed some teacher development courses to be delivered online. Liliana is a consultant for several schools and is a member of the AEXALEVI Executive Committee.

LICENCIADA SILVANA CARNICERO SANGUINETTI

 

Silvana Carnicero is profesora en inglés from Instituto Superior del Profesorado “Dr.Joaquín V. González”. She is Licenciada en Educación from Universidad Nacional de Quilmes. She specialized in Entornos Virtuales de Aprendizaje at OEI, Organización de Estados Iberoamericanos para la Educación, la Ciencia y la Cultura,  and she is Especialista en Tecnología Educativa from Universidad de Buenos Aires. At present, she is writing her thesis on telecollaborative projects for her degree as Magíster en Tecnología Educativa (UBA). She is a lecturer in Didáctica y Sujeto de Nivel Medio at Instituto de Enseñanza Superior en Lenguas Vivas "Juan R. Fernández" and currently heads the Language Department at ET Nº33 in CABA and works at Universidad Nacional Arturo Jauretche. She is also a remote teacher for Plan Ceibal in Uruguay (AEXALEVI) and a virtual tutor for Instituto Nacional de Formación Docente (INFOD).
