How to develop a powerful English syllabus to suit your students’ needs.

Planning has always been part of the teachers´ world and is closely connected to teaching and learning strategies, motivation and tests among other elements. But, as a matter of fact, good planning completely depends on a specific syllabus. Planning is just the materialization of a syllabus. It is the syllabus – or “plan for teaching” – the element that guides and gives form to our planning. But, do we know the differences between a syllabus and a curriculum? Can we recognize the different types of syllabi? This talk aims at reflecting upon syllabus design as the key element which governs the what, how, objectives and evaluation to be considered for the teaching planning.
